Error when trying to download a document

  • I have uploaded and excel spreadsheet to my site for people to download. After doing that and clicking on the link to test it I get the following error:

    Forbidden

    You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/uploads/2009/10/NCS-Personal-Budget2.xls on this server.

    Apache/2.2 Server at https://www.XXXXXX.com Port 80

    I read in a different support post that I needed to set the permissions in /wp-content/uploads to 755 recursively, so I did, but the problem has not been resolved.

    Suggestions?

    By the way, the link I posted is, unintentionally, NSFW. I meant to block out my website and managed to link a porn site instead. Opps.
