• Hi!

I am very happy with woocommerce, but a couple of things seems to not be working properly:

even though i have enabled free pickup, costumers gets charged for shipping. i have a fixed shipping rate that just gets added automatically: on the bottom of the page there is a pickup-alternative (but weird that one has to scroll past everything to see it) – but even if one ticks this box, the shipping fee does not go away. Help would be great!!

I would also love it if there was any way to remove the pay with paypal-button on the item description page: i only want that to be an option once in the shopping cart.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It sounds to me like your shipping zone configuration might be broken. You might want to review the documentation https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/shipping/core-shipping-options/

It also sounds as if there may be plugins in the mix that deviate from using WooCommerce shipping zones. You might want to take some conflict troubleshooting, i.e switch to an unmodified, default, WordPress theme and deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce to determine what might be behind this.

You neglected to mention what PayPal payment gateway is in use. I would suggest reading the documentation for that as well to see if there is a setting for that. If you are using WooCommerce PayPal Checkout, the documentation for that can be found here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-express-checkout/#section-7

    Hello again,

I have disabled plugins, and i have undone and redone the shipping zones. I have a local free pickup zone, it shows at the payment site. However, it does not show in the shopping cart, so it is very misleading.

    Now: it works like this:

there is a buy-button directely under each item in the gallery. i am trying to remove this one.
Then, if one press the thumbnail, there is a buy-button, and a pay now with paypal-buttom. I want to remove the paypal button, because once inside paypal, it is not possible to choose local pickup.

Then, if one presses “buy” it goes to the shopping cart, which is fine. from here, you go to payment site, and here the real trouble begin. there is only a fixed shipping, BUT regarding payment you can pay on delivery or use paypal. However, if one choose pay on delivery, there is still the fixed fee. So, one can buy without using paypal, but the shipping rate is there anyway. But, there are costumers who want to pay with paypal but still pickup. This does not work.

a little afraid to deactivate the theme: i have done so many small css changes to it, will it go missing?

Regarding the paypal button: not sure if i understand. i just use woocommerce, and ive read the documentation, however, i cannot find a way to hide it. i want to hide it of aestethic reasons, but more importantly; if people jump right on it, they will not be able to choose local pickup at all. i tried…
