Computer Specific Login Problems

  • I cannot log into WP from my home computer (page simply refreshes) but I can login from work. Both computers are running Windows Professional with SP2. I have tried clearing the history and cache on my home computer but it hasnt had any effect. Are there any known problems that cause this. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • What version of WordPress are you running? Login problems have been reported in some versions.

    I don’t think a login problem (using WP 1.2.2) is the issue since it is computer specific. It works both in IE and Firefox at my work, but on neither at home. I do have the latest versions of both.

    Differences in Internet providers between home and work? Is it a newly-created web site?

    Try deleting your WordPress-related cookies.

    In response to above posts.

    I tried deleting cookies, no luck. My ISP at home is Comcast so there should be no problem there. I work at a university that has its own internet connection. Any suggestions anyone.
