TOC is adding duplicate sections and breaking page

    Hi Steven,

    I just updated my plugin to version 2.0.3 and then to 2.0.4. On both versions, when I use it as a shortcode (because I am using Divi Theme Builder), it just keeps adding duplicates list items and anchors of the same section. This ends up breaking the page as you can see.

    If you inspect the page, you’ll see that the buggy TOC items in question have li#ez-toc-height-test.

    it looks like you might being using the widget and not the shortcode … regardless, if you remove the # symbols from the headings, does that fix it?

    You’re right I was using the widget. There were no # in the headings. That was added dynamically by the TOC plugin. I switched to the shortcode and it worked, but I wanted to use the Widget version.

    I couldn’t get the Divi visual builder to load with the Widget-version of the EZ-Toc, but I can with the shortcode.

    Update – I’ve now downgraded back to V1.7 which I was running previously. It works with the shortcode and widget perfectly.

    I was talking about these headings:

    • #1 – Area of Practice
    • #2 – Size of your Law Firm’s Market
    • #3 – The Details

    Those are not added by ezTOC and I wanted to see if they were somehow/by chance the reason. I did not personally code the active section highlighting in the widget in 2.x. So that suggestion was an effort to ascertain the reason.
