Okay, I’ve installed the latest wordpress file, jumped through all the hoops, but when I click on the “Create a Configuration File” button, I get this:
Sorry, I can’t write to the directory. You’ll have to either change the permissions on your WordPress directory or create your wp-config.php manually.

I don’t know how to do either of these things, but I would appreciate it if someone steered me in the right direction. I’m sooo close!

    Thanks in advance!

  • where is the install? whatever folder it is in will need temporary chmod of 777 but needs to be changed back to 755 after completion
you can change the chmod in your ftp client or through host’s file manager

Okay, I figured it out shortly after I posted.
I changed the permissions to 777 through the file manager and everything works fine now.
Thank you for the reply! ??
