I think your theme isn’t calling wp_footer(). All html of WAme buton and public javascript are hooked at wp_footer action.

Thaks @pacotole do you know if I can write some code in functions.php to fix it? It’s a very old theme.

Find file footer.php in your theme and add <?php wp_footer(); ?> before </body> tag.
