search result page differs with search style

Hi,
I ran into something strange. I had the search style as ‘dropdown’ and it worked fine. Then I changed it to overlay (and replace header) and the search page link is wrong and throws a page not found.

With dropdown the search url becomes (working), (searching for crocodile)
https://www.mydomain.com/en/?s=crocodil&lang=en

With overlay the search url becomes (page not found)
https://www.mydomain.com/en/home/?s=crocodil&lang=en
Seems the search url uses the siteurl front page, which is https://www.mydomain.com/en/home/
