Multiple galleries same page and pagination issues
-
Hello there! I’m hoping you can help or at least shed some insight. I spent about an hour going through the forum, and while I saw several questions related to mine, I didn’t find these questions specifically answered.
I’m having an issue where some pages have 2 galleries on the same page. 1 gallery is setup as a slideshow, the other is a thumbnail listing.
I have 2 issues I need to resolve here. When 2 galleries appear on the same page, they are always different galleries, never the same one twice.
1 – If I use the default lightbox (SimpleLightbox) and open a thumbnail into a Lightbox view, and then advance through the gallery, when it hits the end it starts to include the slideshow images as well, causing confusion.
2 – If I use the other lightbox options (any of them) and open a thumbnail into a Lightbox view, only the thumbnails showing on the page show in the Lightbox view. It does not grab the rest of the images from that gallery as you would expect (and as most gallery plugins do). Most of these pages (for design reasons) I have 4 thumbnails showing, but many of those galleries have 15+ images in them – without paging to the next group of thumbs, you can’t ever see those other images. Can I get some direction on how to resolve both issues?
1 – I need to be able to advance that view without going into the second gallery. I really dislike the format of the other lightboxes and prefer to use SimpleLightBox. If not possible, I guess I can always settle on a different option, but they don’t look nearly as nice.
2 – This just doesn’t make sense. Why only advance through the visible thumbs? It should show the whole gallery. Thanks!
Bill
