How to test 5.4-RC? Beta tester plugin goes to 5.5-alpha

Is there any other way to test the 5.4 release candidate other than the Beta Tester plugin? That plugin is already set to jump to the 5.5-alpha release. This has been reported in the plugin’s support forums already (no response yet) but I thought maybe someone here would know what to do.
Using the plugin, I first tried Bleeding Edge Nightlies, and it bypassed 5.4-rc1 and upgraded the install to 5.5-alpha.
I then downgraded back to 5.3.2, switched to ‘Point release nightlies’ and it again upgraded the install to 5.5-alpha.
Is this an issue with the plugin or should I be downloading the RC elsewhere? Thanks!

Also just a note that this is the ONLY way to test 5.4-RC now, per the support forums it looks like the Beta Tester plugin doesn’t work for that now that 5.5-alpha has been released. Seems like a bit of a flaw if the idea is to encourage wide testing of 5.4 pre-release but what can ya do. ??
