The user functions on this app are too cumbersome. Quickly creates a total mess trying to separate real from bot users registered. As other reviews mentioned, it attracts gobs of spambots registering wpforo accounts. After having to spend way too long deleting fake wpforo accounts every day, I just gave up and uninstalled it. An app is supposed to make your life easier not harder. I went back to my previous forum app.

Two important things you should know using WordPress.1. There is no wpForo account, all users are your WordPress core users. wpForo is a WordPress plugin and all users are registered through WordPress functions in WordPress user system. So your review is not related to wpForo.
2. It doesn’t matter you use wpForo or other plugins which have own user registration page. You MUST care about spam, you MUST install Antispam solutions. You’re not alone, all other WordPress sites are also under spam attack. Millions of accounts are being created in WordPress websites every second. But all website admins have some antispam plugin installed. And you should do that as well.

wpForo has built-in solution to stop that spam registrations. You should configure and enable reCAPTCHA antibot in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam Tab.wpForo is also well integrated with Akismet, you can use it too. And almsot all Antispam WordPress plugins work with wpForo too.
So, please stop blaming wpForo and let’s understand the problem. You just need to use either wpForo reCAPTCHA or one of those plugins. Even if reCAPTCHA doesn’t stop all 100% bots you should install other plugins and understand that there is no 100% solution against spam yet.
