Preventing specific posts from appearing as a Related Post

    Hello,

    I am wondering if it is possible to exclude certain posts from the ‘pool’ of posts that the Related Post is drawn from?

    I see that in the editor for each post, that it is possible to prevent Related Posts from being displayed inside that post. What I’m looking for is sort of the opposite of that setting. For example, I have some posts on technical matters that won’t be of interest to 99% of my readers, so I don’t want to suggest them as a Related Post.

    Unfortunately this feature is not still available on our plugin.
    We’ll keep it in mind for a next version of our plugin.

    You could exclude the old posts from the following option “Only posts of last N. days (set zero for no limits)”

    Is there something to add to a shortcode to force it to show one specific post by ID?

    Yes, we have the following shortcode

    [irp posts=”YOUR-POST-ID”] will insert a specific post inside the content not necessary with the same categories or tags.
