• Resolved TotsBabyShop

    Hi, since the last Storefront update the storefront-handheld-footer-bar icons have disappeared. I am just getting a white bar at the bottom of the page instead of the usual my account icon, search box and cart icon.

    Any help in retrieving it would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Geraldine

  • Hi, I just tested the latest version on my local install and the icons are working for me. Have you tried disabling all active plugins to see if that resolves the issue? If it does, you can re-enable each plugin one by one and checking to see which is responsible for the icons no longer working.

    I also have the same problem after updating to the storefront the bar at the bottom of the mobile version has disappeared (my account icon, search box and cart icon) I have disabled all the plugins one by one but the problem continues to be present. I use the bookshop child theme.

    Hi, deactivating the plugins has not helped, the icons are sill not visible.

    Thanks, Geraldine

    I think the problem is in the child theme, by deactivating it, everything works well again…

    Hello, i have the same problem. The icons from account, search and basket are gone. Only the circle of the basket is there on mobile. Anyone know what i can do, i already deactivated the plugins whit no result. My website https://www.nakamichistekker.nl

    Yes, same here. Anyone solved this already?

    Thanks!

    @faydesigns if you switch over to the Storefront theme and not the child theme, do the icons work then?

    Hi @jarretc, thank you for your reply. No, they dont reappear. I have been in touch with Storefront Theme developer and they say it is due to child theme Toyshop but they dont know why. They will investigate and get back to me.

    Regards, Geraldine

    Same problem here. If i downgrade to 2.5.4, it works fine, but in 2.5.5. the footer icons has the same color as the background (white).

    I have the same problem. Is the downgrade the only solution?

    Would you all be able to confirm if you have the Header background color set to white and the Footer link color also set to white? This is the only way I could replicate this issue.

    @jessepearson may very well be that issue, if it is I forgot I had reported this last year here:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/storefront/issues/1227

    Though set to low priority so not sure how soon a fix would be implemented for something like this.

    @jarretc Good catch on that, I didn’t notice that one open when I searched the repo. I just changed it to a bug, so it should gain some more traction.

    I had some similar issue (dark grey buttons on dark background) which I solved with this css in my child theme style.css

    .site-footer .storefront-handheld-footer-bar a:not(.button) {
    	color: #777777;
    }

    may be it helps as a workaround
