    Hi,

Im trying to install Site Kit but each time I link my Google account, it returns me to the dashboard with the error “Unknown Error (code: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local”. I am unable to access the dashboard after this, it just keeps asking me to link my Google account.

I dont have SSL enabled on my site.

Any ideas on how to fix this so I can use the Site Kit dashboard?

    Things I’ve tried so far:
    Incognito mode,
    Uninstalled themes,
    Deactivated plugins.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@monachino thanks for the info. On the page where you see the error, could you provide:

    1) the URL that is in the address bar

    2) Any browser console errors you might see

    Thanks!

    Hi @reneesoffice

The URL it redirects to after linking the google account is https://justanotheritblog.co.uk/wp-admin/

There are no errors in the console but a couple of warnings about my AdBlock extension:

DevTools failed to parse SourceMap: chrome-extension://cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb/include.preload.js.map
load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mouse,underscore,wp-codemirror&ver=5.3.2:8 JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1

    Thanks.

@monachino Thanks for the update. Can you attempt setup once more incognito, this time with your AdBlocker disabled?

If setup fails with your AdBlock disabled can you try and update your PHP version and check for the same issue?

@jamesosborne Thanks, Just an update – Same issue without Ad Block and in incognito, PHP 7.3 doesn’t seem to be available in my hosting package so I’m contacting the provider. Cheers, John.

@jamesosborne Hey, so I changed my hosting package to Linux, which let me update to PHP 7.3 and everything is working now!

I had some issues after swapping to linux/php with an invalid JSON response while connecting adsense, this was caused as the wp-json module was missing, changing the permalink setting to post name resolved this though. So all up and running now. Also, there was an updated version of Site Kit, so not really sure what the fix was, but we will go with PHP version!

    Cheers!

@monachino Many thanks for the thorough update, great to know you were able to resolve it. I’ll keep a note of some of the steps you applied to fix this should we encounter the same issue once more.

Now that you can use the plugin as expected be sure to leave your feedback.
