    Hello!

    I really appriciate your live chat plug in, I find it very useful!

    I’m facing an issue with not receiving email notifications when someone starts a chat on my site.
    I have found your step-by-step intructions, so lets go through it!

    Email Notification Troubleshooting

    – Verify that you have enabled the “Chat notifications” option in “Live Chat” > “Settings” > “Chat Box” to receive email notifications. – I have done and double checked it in my settings.

    Check your “Spam” or “Junk” mail folder for any notification message(s) misplaced by your email client. – I have checked my spam and junk email folder, there are no emails in them.

    Verify that your WordPress installation is configured to send emails using a third-party plugin, which logs sent email server events. – Can you please help me, where I can find this setting? Im not really a webpage expert… ??

    If emails are sent from your server but you do not receive them, you need to troubleshoot your email server by checking its logs. – I havent checked this one neither, since I can not check if the server is sending the emails out.

    Do you think there could be any other things to check or do to make email notifications work?

    Hi @viktoriafoldi ,

    We are glad you find our plugin useful! ??

    Regarding point #3 this requires access to your server logs to verify whether emails are being sent or not. The administrator of your site should be able to check this.

    Now let’s try troubleshooting this.

    – Do you receive all other emails sent by your WordPress installation and/or our plugin? If yes then the problem is almost certainly not your server.

    – Have you specified an email under Settings -> Offline Messages -> Email Settings? If yes, is it correct? If not, can you confirm that the email specified under WordPress Settings -> General -> Administration Email Address is correct?

    – Are you logged in as an agent in WordPress and your status is Online while this is happening?

    Hello!

    Thank you for you quick response!

    I have solved the issue with your help, the problem was that in the offline messages email settings, the email wasn’t correctly set.

    Now, it is working perfectly, thank you!
