Tax not applied on top of smart coupon

    I am using Smart Coupons to add a 20% discount to a specific user role. Once logged in with the correct user role, the discount is applied automatically to everything in the cart.

    The problem is tax is not being calculated in the cart once the coupon is applied. Is there a setting that I’m missing or a reason that tax seems to be disabled?

    Hi @kristencudden,

    We have tested this in our dev/testing environments and it works correctly. Tax is calculated when the shipping country is selected.

    The tax we have is confined to a single state, not the entire country. Can you test it that way as well?

    Hi @kristencudden,

    In that case, you must enter the shipping details in the cart page and update to see start tax calculation. This is done by Woocommerce and is not associated with this plugin.

    We found the problem. The user role the smart coupon was using was being considered a wholesale user role and the tax had to be allowed for that particular role. Thank you for your time and responses.
