• Now that I have your attention…

First of all, I know I should pick a relevant title and all that. Let us skip that discussion.

The title is not completely irrelevant as I mean hackers as in those who subscribe to the hackers mailing list.

In the thread WP Hackers Mailing List the hackers mailing list was announced. I read the web archives for a while and during the autumn I subscribed. I subscribed to the cvs commit list at the same time.

The last mail I can see on both archives and in my mail is dated december 23, but I also see indications in this forum that the mailing list works, for example Podz answered in such way recently.

I have also searched these forums and in all other possible way I can think of. Replies to the original announcement mentioned above only gave more questions and no good answer.

The codex wiki got links to the mailing lists, but these does not turn out to be correct. The codex wiki was also mentioned in the dev blog post about moved mailing lists.

Today must surely be ” a few hours” later than december 23. Any news on the mailing lists and where to find them?

Yeah, I mention that announcement too. But I think it is more than “a few hours” since that post and that I have seen indications here that they are up and running, just no other information is given.

    The lists are still down.

And please only use helpful thread titles, not just attention-grabbing ones.

Thank you for the reply Podz. It was this post that made me think the lists were up in some secret place.

Edit: I changed the title. I knew it was a bad title which I mentioned in the first two paragraphs.

By all accounts, at least the tester’s list is supposed to be working – but every single time I’ve ever tried to signup for any of the mailing lists, I get an error page that says “The precondition on the request for the URL /mailman/subscribe/wp-testers evaluated to false” – and I mean *every* time, no matter what list I try to sign up for.

I signed up for the testers list just over an hour ago, and I didn’t get any rude messages like that one…

Still won’t work for me at all ??
