    Thank you for creating this plugin. We have installed, activated, & set-up the plugin. We are using it in the Footer and your included Ninja Forms Opt-in Checkbox on our Contact Page. The Footer sign-up version works as expected – yay! The Opt-in Checkbox via our Ninja Forms Contact Form does not add the Email Address to our MailChimp Audience List as expected.

    We reached out to Ninja Forms about this opt-in and they said, “It appears that you are using the MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress plugin. This plugin adds a MailChimp Opt-in into the Ninja Form, but is not supported by our team since it is not the official Ninja Forms MailChimp add-on.” This tells us that we should reach out to you about that opt-in not working.

    Note: The website is not Live. So I have a PDF showing all the screenshots that will enable you to *see* what I am talking about. I can provide that to you, if you need it.

    Please advise how to get that opt-in form option to populate our MailChimp list.

    Please note that in my most recent (yesterday) attempts to use this opt-in checkbox I am not using any of the emails that are listed in that error list – that list is not showing any of my newest attempts when I used a totally new & different email.
    Please let me know what additional information you need.

    Hello,

    The errors in the log are about email addresses that were deleted from your MailChimp.com account. Please note that MailChimp.com does not allow subscribing any email address again using 3rd party plugins/API if that email was deleted from your MailChimp.com account.

    Regarding error with a new email address, please check the logs and share the new errors.

    I have run a new test just now using a totally different email that has never been used to test this form, nor has it ever been added to our MailChimp account prior to this test. That new email does not show up on our MC list. And, the Debug Log for this plugin did not add any new errors. Please advise what I need to do to get your plugin’s debug log to actually log this activity?
    Once it is logging as expected, then I will be happy to provide it to you for review.

    Can you set it to “log everything” on MailChimp for WP > Other, then do a new test and see if that shows up in the log at all?

    If the log then shows that the subscription is send to MailChimp, from there it is out of our hands, as it’s MailChimp who sends out the opt-in mail, not us.

    Sometimes the opt-in mail ends up in the spam folder.

    I have done the following:
    1. went to MC4WP > Other and set Logging to “Everything”
    2. Saved that
    3. Clicked Empty Log for Debug Log and cleared that out
    4. Tested the Contact Form using a brand new email address.
    5. Form sent the Email Confirmation to my Test Email as expected.
    6. Form sent the Admin Email as expected.
    7. Opt-in was checked but MC Audience was does not show that new email I used. Note: we do not have the MC opt-in email set up at this time.
    8. I went back to the Debug Log and Nothing is showing up – however No email was added to the MC list.
    Please advise why your opt-in for MC is not working and how I can get it to function as expected.

    Please note the front-end looks/functions as expected when you check the opt-in checkbox. However, the email never shows up on the MC account’s Audience List.
    Please advise.

    If even with log everything NOTHING shows up in the log, it means our plugin didn’t pick up the form submission.

    Can you email us at support at mc4wp.com with a link to this thread please?

    Thank you for pointing out to me that I needed to add the MailChimp Action to the Ninja Forms Form that uses your MailChimp Opt-in Checkbox. I have done that on all of the forms and tested, and now the email address does show up in the MC Audience List as expected! Yay! This is ‘resolved’…
