No clue how to setup Email

    I have a problem setting up the e-mail on my website.
    And I have no clue how to approach this, even though I have searched for solutions for some days now.

    What I want.
    I have a website (the first I ever made) that I made in WordPress and that works fine.
    I often see websites having an e-mail address with the name of the website. E.g. the website https://www.mywebsite.abc then has an e-mail address [email protected].

    What I did so far.
    I have installed a plugin called “Check Email”. But a test e-mail never arrived where it was supposed to go – which means: where I UNDERSTOOD (…) it would go..
    And I have installed a plugin called “WPForms Lite” to make a ‘Contact’ page. But that is not working either.

    I have no experience with or knowledge of how to set up e-mail.
    I feel that I am completely missing something, but it seems I just cannot find thee right search terms to get the solution to whatever there is missing right now.

    Therefore I hope someone can point me in the right direction by explaning ALL (!) that is needed to get a working e-mail address in the format like [email protected].
    I suppose that will involve one or more plugins and the correct settings in more than one place.
