Good dropin for GADWP

So GADWP just pulled a fast one on their users, they updated their plugin and basically turned it into advanced spyware with nags everywhere. Apparently they were bought by Monsterinsights.

We woke up to all our sites infected by this new “upgrade”. They want you to pay them to steal and sell your data, like Monsterinsights.

As we mainly used the plugin for easy and standardized event tracking across multiple platforms, we looked for a replacement, found this excellent plugin that has all the functions we need. As a bonus, it uses the same labels and categories for triggering external link events, form submits etc so we did a rip and replace.

Great piece of non-bloat, just too bad it hasn’t been updated for 9 months. I hope the dev will get back on track and would be happy to pay for a pro version focusing on event tracking in Analytics.

We market for our clients so tracking conversions brought in by ad clicks is vital to us.
