menu is appearing below header image

hello and thanks for any help.
my top menu is appearing below my header image and I don’t know why this is. I would like to have it above the image, and ideally in line with the logo. Before I placed the header image, the logo was above the menu, not beside it. After I placed the header image the logo is first, the header image below it, and the menu below that. Sigh…
P.S. I’m using the manta theme and I have created the child theme for this.
