    Hi there,

I want my form from the ConvertKit email service provider to show in my Boxzilla pop-up that shows when clicked. I tried putting my shortcode from ConvertKit in the text section of the Boxzilla form editor since the ConvertKit for WordPress plug-in exists. I also tried putting the HTML code for the ConvertKit in the text section of the Boxzilla form editor. A pop-up appears but the box is very small (much smaller than the 700px wide parameter I put) and it is completely blank. How can this be fixed please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Can you make a test page where you put the shortcode in the page (without a boxzilla box) and share a link to that page with us? Thanks!

    Hi @lapzor.

When I made a test page, the shortcode did not show up.

Then it dawned on me that it didn’t show up because the shortcode I used was a modal one, not an inline one.

ConvertKit allows you to make various types of optins, including inline and modal. My thinking was that since Boxzilla was a pop-up, the modal would be appropriate. Then I realized that I was in a way “outsourcing” that modal function from Convertkit to Boxzilla, so I needed to pick the type of optin form that allowed it to just show up. That’s what the inline form does.

So I switched the form from a modal form to an inline form in ConvertKit, tested the shortcode again, and it showed up on the test page. Then I put the new code in the plugin, deleted my cache, and it showed up without a problem.

    Thanks! ??

Hi @ekaete, I was very excited to discover your post because I’ve been having the exact same issue! I’m still not doing something quite right, though…

I took your advice and changed my ConvertKit form to inline instead of modal. Next, I inserted the code into a blank page on Boxzilla and published without any other changes. Finally, I opened my “Forget About Shortcode Buttons” plugin on my homepage and entered javascript:Boxzilla.show(Box ID) in the URL.

The button works now (previously it was just showing code on the page), but it’s just a tiny, blank box. Do you have any idea what step I’m skipping or what I’m doing wrong? I feel SO close to finally figuring this out!

Here is the page: https://www.honeybearhiccups.com. The button I’m working on is called “be your bold self and choose joy!”

    Would greatly appreciate any advice!

Hi @melissa0120! It looks like it’s working now. For me, I needed to refresh my forms before it showed. Maybe that’s what you ended up doing. ??

Haha! I did refresh my forms, but it still wasn’t working… and now it is! I guess it just took some time for it to take effect.. It’s strange because when I click on the button to edit it, it doesn’t show any info in the URL. Also, it appears that you’re unable to use the same shortcode for two different buttons??? I wanted the same popup for the “choose joy” button, but when I just now entered the shortcode in that URL, the “be bold” button stopped working. Have you had this issue? Thanks for replying to my questions – I really appreciate it! ??
