I’ve read other people solving this by using the No-Conflict Mode, or removing other contact form plugins.

We have done both. Also tried flushing the host cache and doing a force-refresh on the splash page in question. We are still seeing “This field is required” ea time someone tries to complete this form.

Maybe you’ll see something in our source code that I overlooked?

    Hi @lukefive,

When we see this error, the issue could be due to reCAPTCHA is being loaded twice on the page — once by WPForms, and once by either your theme or another plugin, and this causes the error in the form.

The possible next steps could be to track down what’s generating the other reCAPTCHA code and, if possible, turn it off. To do this, please try the steps described in our detailed guide on how to test for plugin/theme conflicts.

    I hope this helps ??

Here is our work-around. I went into WPForms and turned OFF the reCaptcha option. Then I installed a plugin that does reCaptcha and nothing else. Now the errors have stopped, and we have full functionality for the form and also reCaptcha.

Occasionally in WordPress, no one can figure out the *exact* cause, but a work-around gets the project rolling. Sometimes absolute certainty is our friend and sometimes it is not.

    Please mark this Resolved.
