turn off page shift on filter selection

Greetings-

When you click on a filter button, the page recenters itself to make the grid the the top item on the page.

Is there anyway to turn this off?

In short, no matter how I have scrolled on a page, clicking a filter button only changes the grid, and not change where I am scrolled to on a page.
