• Out of the box, this plugin generates two WCAG accessibility alerts. These seem like easy fixes. Does anyone know how to do this manually?

    Alert #1: Redundant Alternative Text
This is caused because the alt text of the image pulls from the corresponding image/post title, rather than the alt text established when the image was uploaded. Is there a way to just use the image’s designated alt?

    Alert #2: Redundant Link
This is caused because the preview image and the post title are wrapped in two separate links (although they go to the same location). Wrapping both the preview image and the preview text in a single link would fix this.

To see what I mean regarding accessibility flags, run a page using this plugin through the Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool: https://wave.webaim.org/

For others searching for a solution, we wound up switching to “Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails” instead. Works very similarly, but has no accessibility errors.
