    Hi,

This morning I updated All In One WP Security to the latest version. After that, it appeared that all images on my Multi sites were not visible anymore. After deactivating all plugins and enabling them one by one I found out that the WP Security plugin was causing the problem.
The plugin generated a .htaccess file in the root directory which was in conflict with the .htaccess file in the www directory.
How can I solve this issue? For now, I have disabled the plugin….

    Hi,

When you installed and activated our plugin in your multisite setup, did you network activate our plugin?

    Thank you

During the update, the plugin showed an error that it was not able to remove the old version. Other plugins are updating without any problem.
I looked in file station and found only an empty ‘All In One WP Security’ folder within the -plugins folder. I manually removed the empty All In One WP Security folder and downloaded a new version, which I installed.
The Network did activate the plugin, without any error messages. The results on all websites were that images and logos were not visible.

That is very odd. Can you carry out a test. Can you delete the plugin again from WordPress. Then install a fresh copy. Let me know if you still experience the same issue. If you do, can you let me know who is your host? What is your server specs?

Are you saying that after you installed and activated our plugin, you lost all the images and logos in your posts and pages. Is this correct?

    Thank you

    Hi,

    1) I installed a fresh copy today. The problem did not reoccur. Everything is fine now.

    2) The images and logos weren’t lost. Only empty placeholders.
    Deactivating brought everything back again.

    Thanks for your advice.

Can you carry out the following test. Activate the plugin and make sure you disable all Firewall Rules. Then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Thank you

    Hi,

I carried out the test and after disabling all rules, everything worked the same as after reinstalling a fresh copy (see mail of 2 days ago)
Also after enabling the rules, everything works as usual.

    Thanks for your support.

Does that mean that your issue is resolved?
