    Hello,

I’m having a hard time getting the wpForo emails to format correctly.

Initially, each line was right on top of each other without spaces. So I went into the wpForo email settings and spaced the lines out.

Now it’s even worse than it was before. All the sentences are back to back like a long paragraph.

Here is a screenshot for reference:

    Can this be fixed?

    Thank you,

    -Chris

    Hi @chrispnw,
It seems you have an affection on wpforo_kses() function from some plugin. Could you please disable other plugins, then navigate to Email Settings and save those again, then test it again.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll do as you suggested and see what I can figure out.

    Thank you,

    Followup:

I deactivated all plugins one by one with the exception of BuddyPress and wpForo because I would not be able to test this issue without them.

Unfortunately the problem still persists even after doing this.

I had also started another thread on here regarding a backslash showing up before an apostrophe in the site name of a wpForo email title. This was also still an issue after doing what I mentioned earlier. Other thread

Should I open a support ticket like suggested in the other thread?

    Thank you,

    -Chris

    Hi @chrispnw,
I’m sorry but there is no solution that we can provide you right now. We’re going to check and fix this in wpForo core and update with new version release.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Does that mean that you were able to confirm this being an issue on your end?

    Thank you,

This is not a core issue. Some plugin or the active theme affects the email template generation process. Those changes the wp_kses() function rules for email template. We’ll try to add functions which will prevent such affections.

Ah okay. Thank you for looking into this, I really appreciate it.

    Update:

I recently removed BuddyPress too just to see if the issue was related to that plugin.

The issue was still present even with every single plugin removed except for wpForo.

Just wanted to give an update.
