Author Box Disappeared

    Hello – I recently noticed that the author box was not showing on my posts anymore. It was showing for a long time and I’m not sure when it stopped showing but I would like to get it back into my posts. I tried manually adding the shortcode and that did not show the author box either. Any suggestions?

  • Hi, if you look at the markup of your page you’ll see the author box is explicitly hidden:

    .saboxplugin-wrap{ display:none!important }

    this is probably CSS from the customizer of the theme.

    I am having the same problem. The author box does appear when I manually enter the code [simple-author-box] But I have over 200 posts that I need to add this code…sure would like it to work automatically? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter. I am using the Free version of simple author.

    Hi,

    by default the author box should appear in posts and pages (free version). Check your settings, you should have the option “Manually insert the Simple Author Box” switched off.
