The Gutenberg block “text and media” is wider than other blocks like paragraph or pictures. That makes the pictures beeing too close to the Conatainer.
The layout then looks very bad, missing distances to the gray border area.
All other Gutenberg blocks behave normally.

    Thanks for Your help, Axel

    Hi there,

Any chance you can link me to a page so I can see the issue?

I’m guessing you’ve set the block to “Align Wide” using the alignment controls.

    Let me know ??

Thanks for the quick help, it was indeed the align point. Unfortunately you only see (?■_■) two states in the block, wide and full width but you don’t see the third one, “neither of them”. Problem is solved, thanks!

    You’re welcome ??

I have the same problem. See https://guymickle.com.

My alignment controls for the block show vertical alignment, but I cannot see the “Align Wide” option. Where can I find that?

    Thanks for your help.

If that option is not there, I am right in guessing my theme doesn’t support it?

    Hi there,

That’s a default Gutenberg block so it’s all handled by WordPress itself.

The options should definitely be there:

I am using the latest version of www.remarpro.com and that button is missing on my screen.

I am using a free theme so unless I pay them $100, they won’t answer any of my support questions. I am reluctant to pay that when I am not even sure the problem lies with them, especially after what you told me. I am using one called Advanced Blog.

    Any ideas?

I just read the article, ‘Gutenberg Blocks – Wide Alignment and Full-width’, which says that “These options require that your theme explicitly supports them.”

    Hi there,

this is the support forum for the GeneratePress theme – we cannot provide support for other themes.

It sounds like your theme hasn’t enabled support for Gutenberg. You would need to speak to them about this.

Ah yes. So it is. I didn’t notice that. I just searched for whole site for my question. Sorry!

    No problems ??

Thanks for the quick help, it was indeed the align point. Unfortunately you only see (?■_■) two states in the block, wide and full width but you don’t see the third one, “neither of them”. Problem is solved, thanks!

How do I access this third state, “neither of them”?

P.S. I’ve switched to using the GeneratePress theme. ??

The third option is missing. Instead if you have Full Width selected – just select it again – this will remove it ??

    Welcome to GeneratePress ??

    Yup, that works. Very cool.
I feel like I am in charge of my pages again!
    Thanks.
