How can I add post title to a template file

I have and it does not work. So can someone just tell me the exact code

I tried

$textlinkcode .= "<div class=\"visit\">Visit <?php single_post_title('Current post: '); ?> </div>" ;

and it does not work

You can’t have nested php tags.

Concatenate (see my links for how to do this) and don’t use the php tags around the WordPress function because it already is inside php tags.

This is the current code

$textlinkcode .= "<div class=\"visit\">Visit".single_post_title()."</div>";

The post title is not being included inside the div

Try something like this:

<?php
$textlinkcode = '<div class="visit">Visit ' . single_post_title("", false) . '</div>';
echo $textlinkcode;
?>

Or:

<div class="visit"><?php single_post_title('Visit '); ?></div>
