I am building a site for a friend. I installed Filebird to categorize the photos. I then installed MLA to use Justified Image Grid with image taxonomies. After installation when I build a post and try to choose a featured image, the image categories are no longer honored. No matter which category folder I choose, all images show. If I deactivate MLA categories work properly but my Justified Image Grid no longer shows the portfolio images on the pages. Activate MLA and back to Filebird not working.

I only need MLA for taxonomies and I like seeing the ID numbers. Other than that I don’t use it much. Can I pare it down with settings to NOT show when choosing photos for pages and posts?

I have screenshots if you want to see them. Thanks

Thanks for your report and for describing your use of Filebird and MLA. You might be interested in this earlier MLA support topic:

You wrote “Can I pare it down with settings to NOT show when choosing photos for pages and posts?” You can try disabling some MLA enhancements instead of deactivating MLA completely. Go to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab and scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section, then uncheck the first two boxes to prevent MLA from downloading any JavaScript to your browser. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes” to save your work. If that works, let me know.

I will leave this topic unresolved for now. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

I reactivated Filebird and with those two boxes unchecked Filebird does in fact work again. However, there are other features that your plugin offers at the top for sorting and finding that I like better so I am just going to leave Filebird off. I noticed there was another folder system that is built into MLA that I can use. It will just require more work reorganizing.

    Thanks for your help!

fyi, the link you gave does not work.

Thanks for your update and for trying the work around I suggested.

You wrote “I noticed there was another folder system that is built into MLA that I can use.” I am not sure what that refers to but if there’s any further help I can give you post an update here and I will do what I can.

I regret the broken link in my first post. For future visitors, here is a link that should work:

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions. Good luck with your application.
