    Is there an Author widget for Visual Composer? On blog Posts I cannot find where to add to the VC global Template the Author and a Comments section. I would think that is native functionality in WP and part of the VC base architecture but I have not seen it in the WordPress Widgets.

    Hi @cedaly1968

    The Visual Composer by default does not have an element to display author information. However, you can use any third party plugin which outputs author information and comments via shortcode and then add the shortcode onto the post. If you create a template with it, then you can directly add the template without having to add individual shortcodes.

    Do shortcodes work in the new visual composer? You would think VC would have author data since that is part of the core of WP. Seems like a good workaround and will try this.

    Yes, you can add the shortcodes via shortcode element of Visual Composer to render their content.
