Collapse-O-Matic issue with jQuery

    Hi,

    While I’m attempting to use this plugin to shorten long text descriptions on my page I am ending up with jQuery error with the plugin not functioning as intended. The content is loaded open and is not collapsing as it should. Due to this, I am also unable to use other jQuery related features like Tabs on the mentioned page.

    I’m using WP Residence theme for my website and earlier I never had an issue with this plugin when I had been using it with a different domain address and WordPress setup. Something with this plugin is breaking my Theme installation as well as the jQuery issue persists even if I deactivate or remove Collapse-O-Matic Plugin. I have to reinstall my website again and start from scratch.

    Please note that this theme is a Real Estate Theme and uses coding magic to make it easier for me to submit new Real Estate Properties and display it in a nice way on my website. I’m a noob when it comes to coding and I probably might understand more Latin than Java. I have already tried to figure this out with Theme Support and they are unable to help as this is a 3rd party Plugin Issue.

    The annoying part is I have to keep reinstalling my Theme and my website every time I try to work with your plugin.

    I also have tried other plugins similar to yours, they also give me a similar issue. I do like using Collapse-O-Matic for its effectiveness and would like if this issue can be resolved.

  • My pages with the plugin stopped working in the same way: unfolded no collapse.
    I think after a recent update from Jetpack ?

    my collapse uses minimal setup and has never been a problem.

    @ rikshitpkotian there are a number of js errors being thrown on the page. Exactly where are you using the plugin?

    @garc964 what page are you experiencing the issue on? Please open a new thread and include a link to the page that exhibits the problem.

    @twinpictures Sorry for the delayed reply.

    I have actually had to reinstall my website completely and am planning to simply use HTML code to Expand & Collapse as it seems it doesn’t interfere with my Theme.
