There is a peculiar problem with JOBS on my website.

The jobs section loads great. But if you drill-down to a job detail page, then hit the browser’s back button, everything goes wrong.

    1. After hitting “browser back button”, new text appears in the table header section, saying “load previous listings”. This is random text and not functional, leading to user confusion. Need to eliminate it or make it functional.

    2. Not all jobs are reloaded. 4 random jobs are presented. We have many more jobs.

    3. The “load more listings” link in the footer of the table disappears, preventing users from loading more listings.

To replicate the issue, click “Load More Listings” first! This will be the reason the trigger to cause the errors I enumerate above. Once you have “loaded more listings” then drill-down on any job. Hit browser back button. Observe the issues.

I notice that the URL now has a variable assigned to and I believe this is the reason for the problems:

    #s=1

    Hi!

We’ve been communicating via email as well. As II stated in my last reply to you, are you able to reproduce the issue with a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Seventeen?

I have tested using the default 2020 theme, and I am able to reproduce the issue. The exact same symptoms I outlined above, are replicated.

    Hi,

I tried to reproduce the issue on my test site with the 2020 theme, and I was unable to.

    1) I went to my job listings page
    2) I clicked Load More Listings
    3) I clicked through to one of the job listings
    4) I clicked my browser’s Bak button (Chrome)
    5) The job listings were as before, with no issues as you described them

So at this point, I’m not sure what’s causing it on your site. Can you turn off all plugins except for WPJM and try again?

It is not possible that you got past step 1, since the load more listings button isn’t present. I set the shortcode per_page attribute to 20 to force the “load more listings” button to go away.

I would need to reduce it back to 5 (default) for you to be able to effectively troubleshoot.

    Hi,

As I mentioned, I did this on my test site, not on your site. I wanted to try to independently reproduce it. Since I was unable to do so on my test site (everything worked as expected), that’s why I ask that you try turning off your other plugins, and test again in your site (still with 2020, to eliminate that variable).

So, let me know how it goes with all plugins deactivated. Thanks!
