Email – download table – insert thumbnail image instead of text

    Hi everyone,

    Regarding the emails sent from Woocommerce to customers when buying digital products.

    Does anyone know how to swap the product name with the product/thumbnail image in the table showing downloads (product/expires/download) – see this page for reference:

    Please note: I’m not talking about the items table, but the download table.

    Hi there,

    There are a couple of ways to customize email content, you can override the email template, however, this will require some PHP knowledge.

    A good place to start is this article: https://www.cloudways.com/blog/how-to-customize-woocommerce-order-emails/ (under Overriding Custom Email WooCommerce Template section).

    Another option is to use a plugin to send custom emails and disable the default WooCommerce ones, using a plugin like Follow-Ups https://woocommerce.com/products/follow-up-emails/ or AutomateWoo https://woocommerce.com/products/automatewoo/

    Thanks for your reply and links !

    I am aware of the ability to customise the templates and have done minor changes already. My understanding of PHP is limited and so are my coding skills.
    However, I understand more or less how the PHP email templates are built up and what I – ideally – am looking for is a code snippet either to paste into the template itself or functions.php
    I am already using Mailster as a newsletter plugin, it can also make smaller changes to the templates. I don’t really want to get into other mailing plugins.

    So any suggestions ?
