Backup Images Before Optimization Feature

    I would be really handy if there was a feature to be able to backup images before optimization, so that you can easily restore an image from the backup and revert to the original images.

    Another really handy feature would be able to select folders outside of the uploads (media library) folder so that for example you could optimize all images in the active themes folders.

    Hi Luke,

    Thank you for your suggestions! Allowing compression of images outside of the media library is definitely something we’d like to add in the future.

    We’d be reluctant to add backup of originals to the plugin as it would bloat the functionality of the plugin as well as add more file size to the disk because originals are stored. We’ve noted your request for it though!
