Easy Digital Download Checkout Page 403 Error

Hi there,
Thank you for this plugin, it has helped but there’s a small issue with the checkout page for Easy Digital Downloads (only when this plugin is activated).
The thumbnail get’s converted to a webp format but then shows as a broken link and 403 error. I have cleared cache as well.
I excluded thumbnails from being optimized but the issue still shows the error. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with .htaccess?

Sorry for the bump, I’m using the WordPress hooks method to serve the webp format. This also breaks if I use any other setting, it’s only when using the webp option. When I disable this option everything works as intended.
I have disabled this function for now as webp is breaking most images that are loaded to Easy Digital Downloads (edd) path.
