Just heard about this great plugin to convert my site to AMP, and my site just went blank. I don’t have access to FTP. How do I get out of this?

  • @manandhar Can you enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php and share details of the issue here?

To get your site back running please access your hosting providers control panel and then the file manager tool. You can then navigate to the the amp plugins directory.
    .../wp-content/plugins/amp

From there you can temporarily rename the amp directory and see if you are then able to access your site.

The issue right now is that I don’t have FTP, and will not get it for the next 12 hours. The plugin should’ve been a piece of cake. Is there an issue with the plugin? If yes, please resolve this ASAP.

@manandhar There could be a number of reasons why you encountered this problem. If you activated the plugins standard mode you may be using an incompatible theme or plugins.

Do you have access to your hosting control panel? If so you should be able to access the file manager tool from your control panel, or alternatively PHPmyadmin or another database application. Using either of those you should be able to deactivate the plugin.

I knew what to do. The issue was i “did not have ftp login”. I have not made my site go live. Phew. That was some scary hours.

This issue has to be resolved !!!

@manandhar Glad you were able to resolve it. If you want to share the error logs we can see if we can identify what was the issue.
