Create custom views without editing plugin files

I have made changes to /views/post/header.php to get the look and feel I want. This obviously has separated this file from core. Is it possible to make a custom view folder similar to child theme functionality where if file is present it overwrites core plugin views? Perhaps allowing custom views in the template folder or something. It would be great to be able to upgrade without worry. Let me know. Thanks!
