Users dont receive confirmation mail after successfully registered for an event

Hi,
I have setup some events (pottery classes) on my pottery website and users can book without error, they receive the “successfully registered event” message. I then get my Admin notification per mail that a student has registered.Unfortunately the students dont get a confirmation mail, despite it is setup. They have different email providers like icloud, or yahoo or gmail. Not in the SPAM folder and my domain is not blacklisted with them either.
When i or my hubby, which implemented the plugin, do a test sign up we receive the confirmation emails without a problem. We try it from different mail addresses like …@outlook.com…. or @gmail.com
Works fine, but when a student signs up, they don’t get the email.Please can you help me to find out what is wrong?
