Still logged as sent when wp_mail returns error

I recently upgraded to PHP 7.4 on a CloudLinux cPanel server.
All emails was logged as before, but not received.
The Heal Check & Troubleshooting plugin revealed that emails could not be sent, since wp_mail() returned an error. No errors in PHP error-log. Back to PHP 7.3 for now.

This plugin could be able to detect the same error and not log them as sent when they are not.
