Feature Request – Change Crop interface to group images more efficiently
-
Hi! Thanks for the great plugin. I’m currently developing a multisite installation for a university in the US, and using your plugin as part of our media management requires. It does exactly what we need it to, which is to allow our various site managers to control the crop position on images they upload.
I do have a suggestion for cleaning up and improving the UI while cropping images.
We currently have 5 image ratios that we crop to, and each ratio has four or five different sizes, to accommodate responsive image handling. That means we have 25-35 presets. It’s fantastic that you can check the box at the top to “Crop all images with same ratio at once.” However, I think that could be improved upon by collapsing all of the image styles with the same ratio into a single thumbnail, and listing which image-sizes are being cropped underneath the actual crop screen.
Here are a few screenshots to demonstrated.
This is the current interface as-is: https://drive.google.com/open?id=101lCtzGk3VuWH9vKihfQdKntQgFZVmLW
This is the interface after my proposed changes: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13oCLRyyI1dXPFmeq7C2wetfBbfg-Qv5C
Of course, if you unchecked the box to group images with the same ratio, then the UI would revert to displaying every single image-size.
Thank you again for this plugin.
Best regards,
Anthony Pero
