Globally, Woocommerce has an inventory management feature. And on the current project, I need to set the value “Allow pre-orders?” To “Allow but notify the customer” for all products. But both methods are not suitable, since the goods are imported from 1C, their number is more than 20,000. You need to set “Allow but notify the customer” by default, or make it possible to change this parameter for all goods. How to do it?

Am I understanding correctly that you’re looking for a way to set up Allow backorders, but notify customer by default on your store, because you’re importing close to 20000 products at a time, and it is not possible to manually update them one by one?

If yes, there isn’t a built-in option to set a default value, but a workaround while importing your products (if you’re using CSV) would be to use the Backorders allowed? column, with a value of notfy. Like this:

0 indicates no backorder allowed
1 indicates allow backorders
notify indicates allow, but notify customer
