I’ve been using AIO for months without issue. This new problem started this past week and the update didn’t fix it. I use AIO for my backups and download them to my local machine.

The issue is not when I create a backup, it’s when I download this file. It’s hangs at about 20% then fails. I’m on a stable corporate connection and this doesn’t make sense on why this started out of nowhere.

I’ve cleared the cache with wp rocket, used a different browser, used the last version and the current version. I would hate to have to FTP when I didn’t have to before.

You mentioned you are on a corporate connection so there could be a new IDS rule introduced without you knowing it.
Also, some hosting providers can limit how much can be downloaded at a time.

You could try using a resumable download manager like uGet and see if the download can be resumed/retried.

Tagged as resolved but hasn’t been resolved.

Checked with my hosting provider and there hasn’t been a limit for how much can be downloaded at a time.

Also moved to a Mac from a PC and tried the download the file to my local. On that computer I had the same issue on Chrome but when I used the Safari browser I had a successful download. So its not an issue with IDS rules.

    Why would this happen?

The download is directly between your browser and the server.
The plugin is not doing anything there.
It is the same as when you upload a file to your server by FTP and then try to download it.

So that’s why I suggested to reach over to the hosting provider/internet provider or try download manager.
Why would Chrome fail but Safari work? I don’t know, it is not really in my domain. Maybe someone at Chrome can help with this.

I still think it is an internet/hosting issue and somewhere the download is being stopped. Perhaps Safari has a download manager that is better than what Chrome is using.
    I am a Firefox user :/

I’ll give Firefox a go. Opera failed as well.

I went into cPanel and downloaded the file from there. That should be fine too, right?
