• Hello,

I just started using the WP Stats program. It is a nice stat package and i like that the information is kept on the web site.

One of the things I noticed is that there are a lot of google bots on my web page. They usually have an ip address that begins with 66.249.x.x. I have no problem with them being there. The web site is new and it’s use and the amount of indexed content that appears on the web is growing, all due to the google bots.

But….is there some way to hide them from the display? I tried something I thought would work but it didn’t So rather than playing a guessing game, can you help me out? I’m sure others would like to know how to do this, if it’s possible.

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Hi @justan
you can add range of your IP [66.249.x.x] in exclusion Setting.

^^Thank you for the reply. I guess i’m expressing the range incorrectly,

According to the details under the settings>Exclusions>Excluded IP address list: the syntax is
    ” For IPv4 addresses, both 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 formats are accepted. ”

    so put in 66.249.0.0/24

Hit update and the bot still show under Statistics>Recent Visitors.

    Where am i messing up?
