I’m using the free version on WP: 5.3, with themeforest, The Retailer theme.
The theme developer confirms UFAQs works with their theme.

Problem: each FAQ opens on it’s own page (not new window), when the goal is to have the simple Toggle and Grouped Gategories work.

    I’ve tried:
. Changed to WP TwentyTwenty and it works.
. Deactivating all plugins (except woocommerce and UFAQ), but doesn’t solve it.
. Purged all cache, uninstalled/reinstalled but didn’t help.
. Tried on PC and Mac, Ipad, Desktop, and mobile..same result.

Used [ultimate-faqs] on page created with Elementor and basic WP editor but didn’t matter.

    The config seems OK:
    GENERAL
    Custom CSS: none
    Scroll to Top: Yes
    Show Editor Helper: No
    Turn On Comment Support
    Disable Microdata: No
    Include Permalink: None
    Permalink Destination: Main FAQ Page

    FUNCTIONALITY:
    FAQ Toggle: Yes
    FAQ Accordion: No
    FAQ Cateogory Toggle: No
    FAQ Category Accordion: No
    FAQ Expand/Collapse All: No

    DISPLAY:
    All: No

    SETTINGS:
    Group FAQs by Category: Yes

I’d very much appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this. The UFAQ plugin is the one I want to use but it’s taking too much time to resolve this.

    Thank you.

    Hi newguy,

Judging by the “ufaqs” in the URL, which is the name of our custom post type, it seems to me that what we’re looking at is just the custom post type archive page, generated by WordPress and laid out by your theme, and not a page generated using the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode. If you want to make use of all the formatting, layout and options of our plugin, you need to place the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode on a page.

    jaysupport,
Thank you for pointing out the obvious (honestly).
It’s appreciated. I kept looking for workaround and snippet errors, instead of the simple things.

I’ll just bow my head and show myself out. ??
