• Hi,
I need help tracking down the cause. I have inherited support for this website and do not know it’s history. I want to allow sites like gtmetrix.com to access this website. Can anyone provide me with some insights? The htaccess file looks pretty standard. I also have a caching plugin installed so it has added to the file. The problem existed before caching was added so I’m pretty sure that’s not the problem. Also this is a production site so I can’t disable plugins for troubleshooting.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

    Tim

  • Hello,

Do you have WordFence installed on your website?

    Kind regards,

    No, WordFence is not installed.

    ideas to start troubleshooting:
-install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme — without impacting site visitors
might help narrow down the source of the issue

-alternatively, ask your webhosting vendor if your plan has a staging site available so you can test in it.

(I noticed a few console errors are present)

    Lisa,
Thank you for your suggestions however the Health Check plugin page indicates that it has only been tested up to WP 5.2.4???

“only been tested up to WP 5.2.4”
That’s interesting. Probably still will work.
    Make a backup before installing.
