how to install wordpress

  • Hi,
    i’m having some trouble understanding the basics installation rules.
    i downloaded the wordpress file and moved it into into an unziped file, but now what? how do i create a database to which i upload the file?

    It’s impossible to say how without knowing your hosting environment, as different hosts will have different setups. It’s probably best you contact your hosting provider for assistance if you don’t even know where to begin.

    That said, if you can tell us your website address and/or hosting provider, we might be able to offer some general directions.

    Thanks for sharing… but you’re making assumptions that the OP is using either cPanel or XAMPP… which can lead to even more confusion if he/she doesn’t have these panels and consequently is unable to follow your instructions.

    If you do not want to contact your hosting provider, you can let the community here know about what host/panel/setup you use, so the info we provide is more valuable ??
