Afternoon, ive been searching plugins but not see what im looking for. (might be using the wrong words to search)

I sell coffee machines and each machine comes with different specs, we currently use the attributes to display something similar as below:

    Type: Automatic
    Manufacturer: Neff
    Color: Black
    Warranty: 24 months

As we have many staff all adding new items everyday, i want to set every product to have the same specs where the product adder can tick or answer.

So like the above, all items could be set with the below. And the person adding can Type in the answer or tick box of options. Hope this makes sense.

    Type:
    Manufacturer:
    Color:
    Warranty:

    Hi there,

It sounds like you’d like to make use of global product attributes rather than ones that are typed on a per-product basis. If that’s correct, you’ll want to take a closer look at the following guideline on using global product attributes: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/#section-6

Hi thanks for your message. I’ve read through the attributes and its not quite what i was after. I have tried what you suggested but the person adding the item would need to add each attribute from the add dropdown in the product.

I want them to be able to type in the answer.

So you would add a new item. The attributes would be pre-populated.

    Attribute:
Water tank Size? (I would want the answer to this to be typed in rather that having to add lots of sizes so they can be in a dropdown)

Hey @mattybulman – If you have static attributes but not static values, you can still add them as a global attribute, just don’t add/configure the terms when you create the global attributes. This will allow your staff to select the global attributes from the pulldown on the product page and add them, but the value field will be blank and require them to manually type the value/term at that point.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any further questions!
