Used to be a 5 all day

  • Have started the process of removing this from every single site we have after the ‘black friday’ banner ad nonsense.

    such a shame, but hey, a change is as good as a haircut.

    We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so last Thursday we released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel.     Totally understand you are trying to promote something that might benefit users, but who thought it was a good idea to do it in this manner?

    To remove it needed an update, so was it poorly thought out but the execution was worse?

    After many many years of using the standard and pro versions on every site, we have moved to something else.
