oceanwp Simple-Line-Icons not loading on mobile

    Hi,
    I am using the very efficient OceanWP theme with WordPress 5.3

    Using PageSpeed Insights, I am surprised to see that the Simple-Line-Icons font seems not to be loaded on mobile .
    Here are the messages for Mobile and Desktop.
    MOBILE –>
    Consider using <link rel=preload>
    Opportunities
    …simple-line-icons/Simple-Line-Icons.woff2?v=2.4.0(www.svtsup.fr) 4?350 ms

    DESKTOP –> No problem

    Do you have any advice ? Cause this is the only point causing some serious lags (4 seconds).

  • Hello,

    Simple line icons should be load on the mobile view. Try to disable/enable the simple line icons file from the Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles and check it works or not. Are you using any cache plugin?

    The unloading/loading Scripts & Styles has been successful.
    I am using the terrific WP Rocket plugin.

    Hi Amit,

    The problem has jumped to the mobile menu.
    A click on the hanmburger men (on mobile or desktop with short width) adds a # at the end of the url.
    So I had to do the reverse actions.

    And the PageSpeed Insights is back : Simple-Line-Icons font seems not to be loaded on mobile .
    Here are the messages for Mobile and Desktop.

    I’ll ask the WP Rocket support team some hints.

    I checked the site and the mobile menu is working fine. For the simple line icon file, that is very odd and I don’t have a clear explanation about it at this moment.

    Thks for your dedication.
    All is fine regarding the mobile menu (I deactivated Ocean Extra). This is the most important.

    I’ll try to fix the loading of this font file.

    I did reload the oceanwp theme via ftp. And it fixed the issue.
    No problem since.
    No clue about this.

    But the Simple-Line-Icons.woff2 issue is still there.

    I’m using W3 Total Cache.

    Waiting for an Update from OceanWP.
